RC service and repairs in Israel: what to check and what parts to order
A practical Israeli customer guide for sending models for inspection, diagnosing damage, ordering parts and deciding what can be repaired.
Good service starts with clear information
Before sending a model for inspection, write what happened: crash, hard landing, motor cut, radio issue, vibration, overheating or setup question. Add photos from several angles and list the exact model, battery, receiver, motor, ESC and propeller.
The more exact the information, the faster the repair direction becomes clear and the fewer unnecessary parts are ordered.
Not every part should be reused
After a crash, inspect the propeller, motor shaft, firewall, wing joiner, hinges, servo gears, receiver antennas, ESC wires and LiPo battery. Some parts look fine but fail under load.
Do not reuse a cracked propeller, swollen LiPo, stripped servo or bent motor shaft. The cost of guessing is usually higher than the cost of replacing the weak part.
Plan repair parts with future flights in mind
Order parts by exact SKU where possible: propellers, spinner, landing gear, hinges, control horns, servo arms, retract parts, battery straps and hardware. For imported models, availability can change, so it is smart to keep common spares.
After repair, repeat CG, control direction, range, failsafe and a careful first test flight.
Repair triage table
Use this to decide what information and parts are needed before contacting service.
| Problem | Likely checks | Parts often needed |
|---|---|---|
| Hard landing | Landing gear, firewall, wing bolts, propeller, battery tray | Landing gear parts, propeller, screws, epoxy |
| Motor vibration | Propeller, spinner, shaft, mount and firewall | Propeller, adapter, spinner, motor mount |
| Radio glitch | Receiver voltage, antennas, servo load, wiring, failsafe | Switch, receiver battery, UBEC, servo extension |
| Control surface damage | Hinges, horn, pushrod, servo gear, covering or foam | Hinges, control horn, servo gears, adhesive |
| Overheating power system | Propeller size, current draw, ESC cooling, battery C rating | Correct propeller, ESC, connector, battery |
Before sending for service
- Write what happened clearly
- Photograph damage from several angles
- List exact model and electronics
- Do not ship damaged LiPo without advice
- Remove loose fuel or batteries where required
- Include part numbers if known
- Ask before ordering uncertain parts
- Repeat full setup checks after repair
Common questions
Can a crashed aircraft always be repaired?
Often yes, but the decision depends on structural damage, electronics condition, parts availability and whether the repair will be safe.
Should I keep flying after a small crash?
Only after a full inspection. Small crashes can strip servo gears, bend shafts, crack propellers or damage battery packs.
What information helps service most?
Exact model, photos, what happened, electronics list, battery used, propeller size and any symptoms before the failure.
